That means one needs Colonists instead of Population and Mars Ore or Asteroid Ice instead of unrefined goods. To begin with, the player has to build the Goods Buildings on their Space Colony (not in the main city on Earth). In the Space Ages, starting with Space Age Mars, the whole concept of producing goods works quite differently than from earlier ages. They will start to produce unrefined goods from Modern Era onwards. Some Great Buildings produce current era goods up till the Modern Era. For example Colonial Age goods for Modern Era Goods Buildings. Unrefined goods are goods from an earlier age (always 3 ages back). From the Modern Era to the Virtual Future some unrefined goods are needed also. The player has to manually assign the production for each building by spending coins and supplies. Without the deposit the amount of goods produced is five times smaller. To reach the full production potential the player should acquire a corresponding good deposit for a good building. There are four different production rates, 4 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours (1 day), and 48 hours (2 days), allowing different amounts of goods to be produced. Goods Buildings have similar mechanics to those of production buildings.
